MANILA - A mother is seeking financial aid for the urgent liver transplant of her 5-month-old baby.

Jenny Baque said baby Jhayden was diagnosed with acute chronic liver disease last Feb. 11. Her appeal for help has gone viral on Facebook.

Sorry anak," Baque said in her post.

(Every time, minute, second, day that pass by, I know you're having a hard time. When you look at me, it's as if you tell us to immediately find funds for your operation. Sorry, my child.)

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, she said that she recently decided to have baby Jhayden released from the Philippine General Hospital in Manila because she can no longer pay hospital fees.

(We decided to return home in Bicol because we have no money to pay for hospital expenses.)

(We're currently in San Gabriel, Pamplona, Camarines Sur. We decided to have baby Jhayden released from PGH-Manila. The doctor said only a liver transplant can save his life.)

Baque said the liver transplant costs P1.6 million.

(Right now we're struggling to raise funds because P1.6 million is needed for his liver transplant operation in India. I don't have enough money, we're asking for help from anyone but it still isn't enough.)

Baque said those who like to give donations may contact her through 09083984183. Donations may also be deposited through baby Jhayden's bank account.
