MANILA - Mid to late April weather is usually hot and humid. But the arrival of tropical depression 'Crising' changed all that this weekend.
Instead of the sweltering heat that Filipinos have come to expect around Holy Week, torrential rains greeted many in the Visayas at Easter Sunday.
Osmeña street in Cebu City was flooded due to heavy rains which started last night and lasted until this morning.
Many streets in Cebu City and Mandaue City were flooded this morning due to heavy rain.
The beach in Bantayan Island in Cebu is almost deserted because of the rain. ABS-CBN correspondent Joworski Alipon also noted how the beach was littered with garbage following a music festival the night before.
The rains however did not stop residents of Legazpi City in Albay from going to the beach.
Crising has been downgraded to a low pressure area, but it is still expected to bring rainy weather to several parts of the country today.
