MANILA -- University of the Philippines - Los Baños (UPLB) graduate Michael Kenneth Cruz, who went missing last week, finally returned home, his mother Dolores confirmed to ABS-CBN News.
Dolores said her son returned home safely on Wednesday afternoon but declined to give details on what happened.
She nonetheless thanked the public who helped and shared the reports about Michael.
"Maraming salamat po sa mga tumulong at nakauwi na po nang maayos ang anak ko," she said in a phone interview.
Dolores said her son is resting.
The 23-year-old, who is the youngest in his family, graduated magna cum laude in 2015 and is now a licensed chemical engineer.
He was on his way to his first day of work in a food and beverage company in Balayan, Batangas before he went missing.
Posts about him went viral on social networking sites, with netizens praying for his safe return.
