Raw and exotic
The Department of Health (DOH) said there IS no confirmed case of the 2019 novel coronavirus (nCov) in the country but is monitoring 11 cases. The agency also warned against eating raw meat and exotic animals. The DOH and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) drew up protocols to deal with nCov.
Not on a whim
The Palace said it is positive the US won’t terminate other defense pacts with the Philippines. Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said President Duterte’s decision to terminate the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) was not based on a whim. The Department of Justice (DOJ) is undertaking a study on the effects of the termination of the VFA.
Tributes are pouring in for basketball legend Kobe Bryant after he and his daughter died in a helicopter crash. Filipino fans held a tribute for Bryant at the Araneta Coliseum Monday night.
