MANDAUE CITY - Twenty people were bitten by a dog Saturday night in Barangay Casuntingan, Mandaue City Cebu.
Barangay Captain Oscar del Castillo, who was one of the victims, described the dog as possibly rabid, with its eyes red and saliva dripping from its mouth.
The victims were immediately given medical attention.
Del Castillo said they were able to capture the dog, but it died hours later.
The head of the dog will be brought to the city pound to check if it had rabies.
Del Castillo said he and the other victims will also be meeting with the dog's owner on Monday.
The victims said they will file a case against the dog's owner if the owner doesn't pay for their treatment.
