Hundreds of devotees join annual 'Traslacion' in Davao City

After a procession that took around two hours, the image of the Black Nazarene was brought back to the Black Nazareno Chapel in New Lanzona Village, Matina, Davao City.

The procession began at the at 4:30 am and ended at 6:35 am, when the image was finally brought into the church.

The year's Feast of the Black Nazarene draws hundreds of devotees.

Some devotees also brought small replicas of the Black Nazarene during the procession, with a prayer that God's grace will be upon them as they go home.

Aside from the chapel's image of the Black Nazarene, three small images were also shown during the procession.

Devotees believe that the 8-year-old image of the Black Nazarene in New Lanzona Village answers their prayers, mostly about being granted good health.
