Medicines without FDA permit seized at NAIA

MANILA—Chinese medicines allegedly without permit from the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) were seized at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 on Friday.

The items, concealed in plastic bags and weighed 8 kilograms, were seized from passengers traveling from Guangzhou, China.

Importation and exportation of pharmaceutical products without FDA clearance is prohibited under the law. — Report from Raoul Esperas
