Dancing for luck

A performer lifts the head of a dragon during a traditional dragon dance at a mall in Binondo, Manila on Wednesday, a few days before the Lunar New Year. Motorists should expect heavy traffic in Manila on Saturday, Chinese New Year, due to stop-and-go traffic to make way for a grand parade.

In an advisory on Wednesday, the Manila Police District said the parade’s route begins at the Manila Post Office, and will pass through Jones Bridge, Quintin Paredes, Ongpin, Ronquillo, F. Torres , Soler, and Reina Regente streets and will end at the Lucky Chinatown Mall in Binondo.
