Christmas 2019: This bazaar offers gifts that give back

MANILA – Looking for Christmas gifts that give back? Make sure to head to this bazaar, which is known for offering handcrafted and ethically sourced products that benefit various Filipino communities.

Set on December 11 at the Palm Drive Activity Center at Glorietta 2, this year’s BPI Sinag ng Pasko features 40 Filipino social enterprises in categories such as food, novelty, home essentials, and fashion.

Each of the items here do double duty – buying a Yakan weave, for instance, helps secure the preservation of indigenous culture, while purchasing local delicacies can mean paying for a farmer and his family’s food.

“We offer Sinag ng Pasko as an ideal venue to look for Christmas gifts, whether you are a zero-waste advocate encouraging your loved ones to embrace a more sustainable lifestyle, a proud champion of Filipino craftsmanship, or simply a shopper looking for unique and beautiful items,” said Maricris San Diego, executive director of BPI Foundation.
