SAN FERNANDO -- Hundreds of Aeta residents from Villa Maria in Porac, Pampanga were in awe as they witnessed the pyromusical show dubbed the "Biggest Lantern of Hope" at the Sky Ranch theme park here Saturday.
On its 5th year, the organizers dedicated the show to the Aetas who were recently devastated by the 6.1-magnitude earthquake.
Jaste Pineda, 12, said Christmas came early to her and to the other aeta kids after they received gifts.
Anna Santos said it brought back the smiles on their faces after their traumatic experience in the quake.
“Kasi nung nilindol po kami parang wala po kami sa pag iisip, ngayon po masaya na po," she said.
The Pampanga Eye, the biggest and tallest ferris wheel in the country, brightened the sky in a grand magical firework display, with colorful dancing lights synced with all-time favorite Christmas carols.
“It symbolizes really the start, the even grander Christmas celebration,” said Andrea Madlangbayan, SM City Pampanga's regional operations manager.
This year, guests can watch the 10-minute pyrotechnic musical show at 6 p.m. every Saturday until December 7.
