Karen Ibasco sealed the country’s Miss Earth win on Saturday night with her perfect blend of beauty, elegance and intelligence.
She demonstrated this not just during the coronation night itself but also in all the competition’s pre-pageant activities.
Before Ibasco bagged the crown, here’s a look back at her journey at the Miss Earth 2017 pageant:
On October 9, Ibasco posted on Instagram her very first photo wearing the Philippine sash as the country’s delegate to Miss Earth 2017.
The following day, Ibasco shared a photo of her during the Miss Earth welcome dinner held at the Carousel Mansion.
She then celebrated her first gold medal in Miss Earth for the swimsuit competition.
Confident and in her element, Ibasco also won the silver medal for the Miss Earth long gown competition.
One of the first friends she gained during the pageant was Miss Colombia. Surprisingly, they were the last ones left on stage during the coronation night.
As a Miss Earth delegate, Ibasco got the chance to visit Tipan Cave in Zamboanga Sibugay, which she said is only open for researchers to visit.
Of course, she also visited Malacanang Palace.
During the pre-judging round, Ibasco proudly wore a Rene Salud gown made from handwoven fabric.
Just days before the coronation night, Ibasco won another gold medal, this time for Miss Earth’s national costume competition among Asian contenders.
