She's been garnering the attention of many Filipinos because of how she amusingly incorporates Tagalog phrases into her introductions.
First there was her line, "Ang batang malakas kumain ay laging may Ghana!" Then came her next quip, "Kung ikaw ay nalulungkot at tinatamad, kailangan mo ng pampa-Ghana!"
And now that she's undeniably a fan favorite ahead of the pageant, thanks to these, Miss Earth Ghana 2019 Abena Appiah is perhaps thinking that it's time to put her newfound fame to good use.
Her newest catchphrase called a bit attention towards the importance of conserving water, as seen in a clip that went viral online Tuesday.
"I want to end by saying water is life. Let's conserve water by always turning off water faucets," she said, before trading her serious look for a bright smile, "Gumamit ng tabo, timba, at palang-Ghana!"
It harks to her overall goal of trying to "educate" people in a fun way. She said that she mostly wants to teach kids, or train future "earth warriors," according to her profile on the Miss Earth 2019 website.
And her catchphrase gimmick seems to be the right step forward towards achieving just that.
The Miss Earth 2019 pageant is scheduled for October 26.
