MANILA -- The Pantry, the all-day dining restaurant of Dusit Thani Manila, celebrates its 4th anniversary with Saturday Night Grill, a special addition to the restaurant’s buffet offerings.
While the usual buffet of The Pantry, located just off the hotel's lobby, is already extensive, on Saturday nights, Dusit Thani opens its balcony for guests to order freshly made som tam, meatball subs, steaks, sausages, and sides. The aroma from the grill wafts out into the hotel’s entrance and the street, so just follow your nose to find this section.
The centerpiece of the outside grill is the all-you-can-eat Darling Downs Grade 9 ribeye sourced from the Australian Agricultural Company (AACO). The steaks are unusually good because of the way the cows were grown -- the animals are raised on grass and free range for the first one and half years to intensify the flavor, and then sent to the feedlots for another 15 months to achieve the meat’s marbling.
“We get the best of both worlds. The meat gives more of that beefy flavor but is still wonderfully tender,” explained Jim Ryan, AACO’s regional manager for Southeast Asia.
The steaks are simply grilled and seasoned with just salt and pepper, though the outside section has all the sides and sauces one might want with their meat.
Apart from the grill section, The Pantry also offers unlimited Czech Pilsner Urquell, Kozel Dark Lager and wines to wash all of that meaty goodness down.
The Saturday Night Grill inclusive of unlimited wine and beer is available from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Saturday
