MANILA – The local operators of Taiwan’s CoCo Milk Tea is thanking loyal fans in the Philippines with a three-day “chill camp” happening until September 19 at the SM Mega Fashion Hall.
“We’ve seen how well CoCo was received by Filipinos. The CoCo Chill Camp is our way of showing our loyal fans and supporters that we feel their love. And so we want to give them back the happiness that our drinks have brought to their lives, by giving them an experience that’s uniquely created for them,” said Larry Evans Tan, CoCo Philippines general manager.
Aside from a CoCo store on site to serve their milk tea orders, other fun activities in store for fans when they visit the camp include games such as a “panda pit” and a “pearl toss.”
Exclusive CoCo merchandise such as tumblers and shirts are available as well.
Buoyed by the popularity of their bestsellers – Panda Milk Tea, 3 Buddies Milk Tea, White Pearl Milk Tea, and Passion Fruit Tea Burst – CoCo recently won the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Milk Tea in The Choice 2019.
It seems appropriate that they’ve launched a Philippine-exclusive flavor, the Caramel Chocolate Cream Slush, which tastes like a dreamy salted caramel chocolate smoothie.
“We wanted to create a unique offering that we know the Philippine market would be drawn to. What’s better than caramel and chocolate? This is definitely something new beyond the milk tea that CoCo is known for,” explained Tan.
With 4,000 stores around the world, the CoCo franchise aims to dig its roots firmly and more deeply into the Philippine market by expanding nationwide.
“We are definitely responding to the clamor of our customers into bringing CoCo more accessible to them. We are opening our second branch in Cebu by the end of the month, and we’ll be opening our first Mindanao branch soon. And we continue to explore with new flavors that we know our customers would love,” shared Tan.
To enter the CoCo Chill Camp, attendees must bring a receipt dated September 17 to 19 from any CoCo store.
