MANILA -- Now it can be told: Jessica Sanchez revealed that she once tried out for the Broadway production of "Miss Saigon."
Sanchez, who finished runner-up in the 11th season of "American Idol" in 2012, made the revelation on RX 93.1's "The Morning Rush" on Friday, July 3.
"It was difficult because my voice isn't really a Broadway voice. So that's what kinda challenging. I guess it will depend on what Broadway (show) I will be doing and then also I wasn't really familiar with like acting and stuff like that," Sanchez said.
"I still have to learn a little bit of acting and then try to train my voice to be able to do a little bit more like a Broadway sound. And then definitely I would be down to do Broadway. That sounds like a lot of fun," she added.
In 2012, reports surfaced that Sanchez was set to appear on the hit TV show “Glee,” as well as play the lead role in the film adaptation of “Miss Saigon.”
Currenty, Sanchez is working on her upcoming EP. She has also released her latest song "Angels," which she wrote for her boyfriend.
"I believe God sends angels and he is one of those angels that is part of my life and he's here to protect me and to keep me motivated," Sanchez said.
