Tambunting will play the role of a young undocumented Filipino immigrant in San Francisco who plays assistant to his famous faith healer grandfather (Alan Ariano of “Miss Saigon” and “The King and I” fame) in the Ma-Yi production, which will run from August 23 to September 15.
Other cast members include Caitlin Cisco, Francisca Muñoz, Ryan James Ortega, Diane Phelan, and Ching Valdes-Aran.
Based on a short story by Fil-Am writer Lysley Tenorio, “Felix Starro” features lyrics by Jessica Hagedorn and music by Fabian Obispo.
