MANILA — Short of confirming he’s in a relationship, Vice Ganda said he has decidedly changed from the days when he would engage in “friendly” conversations through online chat, with the actual intent of flirting.
The topic came up during the Saturday episode of “It’s Showtime,” where a “Tawag ng Tanghalan” contestant opened up about a recent relationship that ended because of his girlfriend’s discovery that he had been chatting with someone else.
“Ang daming relasyon ang nagsimula at natuloy nang dahil sa pakikipag-chat, at ang dami ring sinira ng chat na ‘yan,” he said, as seen in the official video that has garnered nearly half a million views.
When the contestant, James Alfafara, clarified that his chats with different women were “friendly,” and had no romantic context, the comedian protested: “Gasgas na gasgas na ‘yang linyang ‘yan — ‘Bilang kaibigan lang.’”
Drawing from his own experience, Vice Ganda admitted that he, at one point, engaged in such conversations under the guise of “friendship.”
Kaya kayo nag-cha-chat, kasi naglalandian kayo,” he said.
That’s normal.
Providing an example, Vice Ganda went on: “Alam mo ‘yung, ‘Kumain ka na ba,’ malandi ‘yun, ha.
Citing his personal experience, Vice Ganda shared that he has done the same — flirting through chat — until his involvement with one person made him “behave.”
Vice Ganda has been rumored to be in a relationship with showbiz newcomer Ion Perez, who recently made headlines when he referred to the comedian as someone “special” to him.
