Before, whenever patients walked inside the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) that specializes in treating kids with cancer, they would be greeted with dirty, dilapidated floors.

It was certainly not the kind of welcoming, positive image the doctors working there had imagined for their clinic, where the kids get treatment on a regular basis.

But that's a thing from a past that now feels far, far away after the Hematology Oncology Clinic of the PGH finally got its long overdue renovation --featuring characters from "Star Wars."

In what can be considered a galactic surprise for some of the kids --those previously scared of the clinic-- they'll now be walking into the smiles of their favorites like Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

Various equipment of the clinic also now have fun designs based on the popular franchise --and it's all thanks to the hospital's partnership with Globe and the local branch of The Walt Disney Company.
