MANILA -- The biggest travelling book sale in the world is coming to Manila!

After delighting book lovers in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, Big Bad Wolf Books is bringing over 2 million books for a non-stop sale spanning 10 days at the World Trade Center.

There are three things that make a Big Bad Wolf Books Sale stand out.

1. The colossal number of books on sale.

Big Bad Wolf has over 2 million books in its catalog that spans all genres and for all age groups. These aren’t outdated second-hand books but brand new shrink-wrapped books from publishers around the world. ABS-CBN Publishing will be in the Big Bad Wolf lair to add Filipino books to the sale. Guests are encouraged to check out or Big Bad Wolf’s Facebook page before going to the sale to prepare their book hunting lists.

2. Rock-bottom prices.

All of the books brought out during the sale are sold at 60% to 80% off. The people behind Big Bad Wolf travel to meet American, British and European publishers with overruns and pay cash for these books. The big discounts are then passed on to the book lovers who attend the sale.

3. Open 24 hours.

The last thing that makes a Big Bad Wolf book event special is that it is open for 24 hours. The book fair will not close for the duration of the book fair. Myra Chua, Big Bad Wolf brand manager, recounts that there were still long lines even at 2 a.m. in its other venues. They suggested that the best time to go the sale would be during office hours.

Big Bad Wolf was started by the Malaysian founders of BookXcess, Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng, with the vision that everybody, regardless of status has the right to learn. They thought that cheap books didn’t have to mean “second-hand” or “poor quality” and that a warehouse sale didn’t need to compromise on comfort.

“We make reading affordable for people around the world,” said Big Bad Wolf Philippines marketing manager Miguel Mercado. “There’s nothing like seeing millions of books in one space and the shock of seeing the prices.”

The Big Bad Wolf Book Fair will be held at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from 9 a.m. on February 16 to 11:59 p.m. on February 25.
