MANILA – The journey continues for Katrina Llegado as she flies to Bolivia to represent the Philippines in the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant.
Miss World Philippines shared photos from the sendoff for Llegado, one of its titleholders, at the airport on Instagram on Tuesday.
“Are you ready, Bolivia?” the post’s caption read. “Here are some photos of our Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2019 as she starts her journey to get our second crown. Fly high, Pinay.”
The Reina Hispanoamericana pageant was initially scheduled in October 2019, but it was put off because of post-election violence in host country Bolivia.
Weeks after the postponement, organizers announced that the coronation night will be held on February 8, 2020.
It was in 2017 when the Philippines first joined Reina Hispanoamericana, a Latina-dominated pageant.
The country’s representative that year, actress Wynwyn Marquez, won the crown.
