MANILA – Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Dee continues to make strides in her advocacy work as she takes on a new role in a non-profit dedicated to individuals with autism.
Over the weekend, Dee took to Instagram to thank Autism Society Philippines for naming her as a goodwill ambassador.
“My heart is full and I’m so grateful for the trust. With everything that we’ve done and to everything we’re about to do, cheers to a brighter and more inclusive autism-OK nation,” she said.
Months before competing in Miss World, Dee has been collaborating with Autism Society Philippines to bring attention to the needs of children on the spectrum.
In previous interviews, the beauty queen said her advocacy stemmed from having two siblings with autism.
Dee finished in the Top 12 of Miss World, which was won by Jamaica’s Toni-Anne Singh.
