MANILA – A group is reminding the public that animals are not spared from the harmful effects of the ashfall from Taal Volcano.
On Monday, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) Asia announced that its rescue team is at Taal Volcano evacuation centers to provide basic food and veterinary care.
On Facebook, PETA Asia asked for support in its relief operations – from information about animals in need of help to monetary donations, food, face masks, leashes, and collars.
In another post, the group also gave the address to its drop-off point for supplies in Makati.
Animals inhale more particles at a time compared to humans, making them more susceptible to the health effects of ashfall such as respiratory, eye, and skin problems.
