Duterte using Quiboloy private jet; Davao bizmen funding rallies
MANILA - The spokesman of Davao City Mayor and presidential candidate Rodrigo Duterte confirmed Thursday that the mayor is using the private jet and helicopter of religious leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy for some of his campaign sorties.
Quiboloy, head of the Davao-based Kingdom of Jesus Christ the Name Above Every Name religious group, earlier endorsed Duterte for the presidency.
"I am not privy to any financial help but I know he has allowed the use of his helicopter and private jet. Not always because there are others who are providing for the mayor's helicopter," Duterte spokesman Peter Laviña said.

He also revealed that Davao businessmen are major contributors to the Duterte campaign and are paying for the Davao mayor's campaign rallies.
"People in Davao, the business sector in Davao who has made good during the incumbency of the mayor, the major business prospered and they want to repay. These are the people who are contributing these amounts," he said.
He said former Agriculture Secretary Carlos "Sonny" Dominguez III is the chairman of the Duterte finance committee.
