It was something Liza Soberano wanted to do for a long time --to get a chance to sit down with Jane de Leon and hopefully help her fellow Kapamilya deal with the pressure that comes with being asked to take on the iconic Darna role.
As revealed by De Leon in an interview with Push, it apparently happened already and she could not have been more thankful.
"We had dinner already," she said.
De Leon did not reveal what she and Soberano talked about, however, but there's no doubt that the Darna role was among them.
Soberano, who knows exactly how tough it is to be subject to the high standards of many Filipinos when it comes to the beloved superhero, has been vocal about wanting to try and "comfort" De Leon.
Soberano had to back out of the role due to a serious finger injury.
In the same interview, De Leon also shared that she has seen the videos of former Darna actresses Sharon Cuneta and Regine Velasquez giving her advice. She added that she is set to meet Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera about the role.
"Nakaka-touch lang. Kasi di ko in-expect coming from them na magbigay sila ng advice sa akin," she said.
According to De Leon, they have not begun shooting the planned "Darna" movie as they are still focusing on her training.
