MANILA—Christmas, when one can hear messages promoting peace almost everywhere, is still more than a month away.
But it's never too early to promote it, especially regarding petty fights and squabbles among family, Annabelle Rama said.
In an interview with ABS-CBN New's MJ Felipe during a Halloween party Thursday night, where Rama came as a queen, she was asked about Gretchen Barretto's swipe at her daughter, Ruffa Gutierrez.
It was about last week when Barretto brought up an old issue that placed Gutierrez's best actress win at a film festival in 1994 into question.
Barretto was apparently irked that Gutierrez complimented a photo of Julia Barretto, her niece. Gretchen and Julia are on opposite sides of the Barretto family feud, for those have not kept tabs about it.
"Hindi tama iyon," Rama said of what Gretchen did.
Rama added that she's not going to try and escalate things, and that she'll only air dirt if Gretchen decides to attack her family again.
Her advice for Gretchen? "Sana manahimik ka na, 'day," she said.
"Total mayaman ka na, i-enjoy mo kayamanan mo, i-enjoy mo na iyang pera mo. Huwag na tayo magaway-away pa. Peace, of course, importante ang peace," she told Gretchen.
