MANILA -- Outside of ads and endorsements, it has been a while since actress Julia Montes posted a photo of herself on social media. Her last one was back in July --she was seen in a short clip with her dad.
So it's understandable that when her devoted fans spotted her taking selfies with strangers at a local supermarket this past weekend, they decided that they were going to talk about it --a lot.
Montes' named trended on Twitter, with her most loyal of supporters doing most of the work by jumping the gun a bit and taking the snaps as a sign of a possible "comeback."
It's difficult to say whether the random photos actually meant an end to Montes' decision to keep a low profile and if she'll post more now knowing how much her fans have been clamoring for her return.
It remains unclear why Montes, who was last seen in the 2018 drama
"Asintado," took a hiatus from the spotlight in the first place.
