MANILA - From Piolo Pascual to Vice Ganda, a collection of stars were quick to share their welcome messages for Regine Velasquez shortly after the singer confirmed her ABS-CBN transfer.
Pascual, whom Velasquez has been paired with in movies before, said in a video uploaded on Facebook: "Finally. We're just happy and glad that you are here and I hope mag-enjoy ka. Looking forward to working with you, kahit ano pa iyan."
Angel Locsin, who similarly made the surprising decision to switch networks years ago, called it a "happy day" because Velasquez being a Kapamilya means that they can now possibly work together.
Robin Padilla, in his own welcome message, called Velasquez his favorite "leading lady," while Sharon Cuneta took it as a chance to gush about her and thank her for joining the "family."
Sarah Geronimo, whose career Velasquez helped, said she is looking forward to sharing the "ASAP" stage with her.
Vice Ganda rounded up the messages by joking that she's her "favorite ibon," and that he's excited to have her guest on her late night Sunday talk show, "Gandang Gabi Vice."
Velasquez confirmed her network switch this Wednesday, and was given a grand red carpet welcome when she arrived at ABS-CBN.
In a press conference shortly after, Velasquez talked about her excitement over her upcoming projects. This includes, according to her, a sitcom appearance, serving as a judge for a singing contest, and "ASAP" guestings.
She also teased that she wants to do a reunion movie with Aga Mulach and Pascual, and has expressed her wish to work with "The Hows of Us" star Daniel Padilla.
On her Instagram account, Velasquez appeared to be over the moon with her career decision, using the word "kapamilya" in all but one of the her posts since confirming her transfer.
Her latest is a photo of about to board a flight to Australia to take part in an "ASAP" show. "See you Kapamilya," she wrote.
