MANILA -- Pinoy indie folk band Munimuni, composed of Adj Jiao, Owen Castro, Jolo Ferrer, Josh Tumaliuan and TJ de Ocampo is taking a break for now.

The band, known for its signature "makata pop" sound, made the announcement on Wednesday on Facebook.

Maraming problema, maraming nakakalungkot, at the same time, maraming pangangailangan. Hiatus, ika nga nila,” the band wrote.

The group also took the chance to thank all those who supported them.

Mami-miss namin kayo,” the group said.

Munimuni is behind the songs “Bawat Piyesa,” “Sa Hindi Pag-Alala,” “Marilag” at “Sa’yo.” They released their album "Kuluyan Natin" last year.
