HONOLULU, Hawaii — It was a night of appreciating Philippine and Hawaiian music for these Filipinos in Honolulu.
iHeartRadio hosted a special show featuring Filipino artist Inigo Pascual and Hawaiian artist Fia on their recent collaboration.
The two singers were connected by a mutual friend and are working together to create an island version of Pascual’s hit song, “Catching Feelings,” premiering later this month.
Pascual believes it’s about time that Original Pilipino Music (OPM) is heard everywhere.
“With K-pop just taking over and Latin music being one of the main music out there nowadays, I feel like we Filipinos, we should share our music as well to the world stage,” he said.
With more and more opportunities opening up for Pascual internationally, fans can’t wait for the young singer’s career to skyrocket.
