A 12-year-old who lives in South Africa is the newest member of Bamboo's team in the newest season of "The Voice Kids."

She is Gabby Aromin, who sang an emotional cover of Ed Sheeran's "Perfect."

Aromin, 12, was born in the Philippines but she had to move to South Africa about 2 years ago because of her father's work.

Bamboo said that the strength in her voice lies in how easily she could convey emotion. "I'm a sucker for it . . . It wasn't the cleanest [audition], but kaya nga nandito ako," he told Aromin.

Aromin was Bamboo's only recruit on Saturday's episode. Other contestants such as Ian Prelligera and John Rey Custodio went to the team of Lea Salonga, while Adah Leosala joined Sarah Geronimo.
