MANILA -- Cherie Gil now feels "rebooted" after undergoing knee surgery.
On Instagram, the actress gave an update after she went in for a meniscal tear surgery, posting a photo of herself in a hospital bed at the Makati Medical Center.
"Reminiscent of the 80s, including my hairstyle, when I've been confined last, if I recall correctly," Gil said, describing her look in the photo.
The screen veteran also took the opportunity to thank all those who helped her recover, from the doctors to the people who gave her moral support.
"I am now rebooted and given a clean bill of health, along with a new pair of knees ready to face the next marathon of this new chapter of my life. Thank you all," she said.
Gil is considered one of the most respected and awarded actresses in the country.
She is best known for her role of Lavinia Arguelles in the 1985 classic "Bituing Walang Ningning."
