MANILA—A clip of Angel Locsin giving a kid a haircut with a caption that read, "Kwentong barbero," and Janus Del Prado sharing a pun about a guy who had been unfaithful are 2 posts that on a normal day would have been meaningless jokes.
But since these past few days, at least in showbiz, have been far from normal, fans took the liberty lacing them with color.
Many assumed that Locsin and Del Prado, good friends of Bea Alonzo, were alluding to Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto with their posts.
This was because they had shared them after both Anderson and Barretto released their respective statements denying that they had an affair. Barretto even went as far as to attack Alonzo for inciting outrage against her by supposedly making it appear so.
Locsin and Del Prado have yet to clarify what they meant exactly with their posts, even after they went viral online.
The 2 are known to be close with Alonzo, having worked together in 2013's "Four Sisters and a Wedding." Del Prado also appeared in "One More Chance" and its sequel, "A Second Chance."
They had expressed their support for Alonzo, who had been hinting about infidelity and revealed that Anderson broke up with her by "ghosting" her, or outright ignoring her and her messages.
