MANILA -- Karpos Mix Live 6 brings indie avant gardes for its latest show, as local artist Unique and Australian Jordan Rakei are set to perform on September 1 at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent in QC.
Unique made waves in the local music scene, first as the frontman of the band IV of Spades, and now as a solo artist with the release of his album "Grandma."
With sentimental lyrics sang against confident melodies that belie his age, this Wanderland alum will be performing tracks from his last EP, and probably songs from his upcoming one as well. Audiences can look forward to listening to "Midnight Sky," "Sino," and "Amoy ng Kandila," and perhaps even "Mundo," among others.
Rakei, meanwhile, is known for fusing soul, Jazz, and hip-hop to trippy songs that bend genres. This Australian/New Zealander will bring his brand of alternative R&B for the first time to our shores and concertgoers can look forward to hearing some of his collaborations with Tom Misch in "Midnight Mischief" or with Loyle Carner in "Ottolenghi," as well as his songs like "Alright" and "Say Something."
Limited early bird tickets are available until supplies last. Tickets are available at the Karpos live website.
