“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” is back and is uproarious as ever. After acclaimed back-to-back films, the third installment from Marlon Rivera and Chris Martinez comes in the form of an iWant original mini-series.
Still starring Eugene Domingo as a larger-than-life and narcissistic version of herself, “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 3” follows Eugene, the character, as she mounts a biopic of Josephine Branken which she directs, produces, and also stars in as the titular character.
The pilot episode, which shows Eugene recruiting director Joey Reyes (who also plays himself) as her collaborator, is available in full on YouTube.
The remaining episodes — each focusing on an aspect of filmmaking, from auditions to actual shooting — are free to watch on the iWant app and website.
“Ang Babae sa Septic Tank 3” also stars Mylene Dizon, Joanna Ampil, and Tony Labrusca as themselves. Labrusca, in the character Eugene’s film, is a hunky Jose Rizal, while Dizon and Ampil play the hero’s sisters Nercisa and Saturnina.
