She has starred in a number of Marvel shows on Netflix.
And Rosario Dawson is turning out to be quite a real-life superhero herself after lending her voice to a couple of social movements the past few weeks, including one in the Philippines.
The American actress, also known as a political activist, is the most recent supporter of #BabaeAko, a movement formed to call out President Rodrigo Duterte for his remarks perceived to be misogynistic.
A photo of Dawson holding up a piece a paper with the hashtags #BabaeAko, #AMaSONA, and #RiseResistUnite written on it was posted on the movement's Facebook page this Friday.
Her involvement with #BabaeAko comes after Dawson, who plays fan favorite Claire Temple in the Marvel shows such as "Luke Cage" and "Daredevil," helped raise awareness for the refugee crisis in the US.
Dawson's endorsement also comes a few weeks after the founders of #BabaeAko were recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the 25 Most Influential People on the Internet in 2018.
