MANILA -- Sen. Bong Go on Thursday proposed that the annual Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) be held twice a year.
Go announced his proposal as he was inducted as a new member of the executive committee of the MMFF, an annual film festival managed by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.
The MMFF starts every December 25 and ends on the first week of January of the following year. During this period, only Filipino films participating in the festival are exclusively shown in cinemas.
Magtulungan tayo.”
Go said he will support bills that would uplift the conditions of people working in the entertainment industry.
