MANILA — Liza Soberano is the latest A-list celebrity to launch her own YouTube channel, dubbed "Life with Liza."
The 22-year-old actress announced her new venture on Thursday, with outtakes of her "awkward" introduction. The channel, she said, will release its first episode on Saturday.
Within an hour of her announcement, and with zero content, "Life with Liza" already had nearly 15,000 subscribers.
While a channel of her own has long been requested by her fans, Soberano is no stranger to vlogging. She has appeared numerous times in her boyfriend and co-star Enrique Gil's own YouTube channel with his sister.
Soberano is the latest among her contemporaries to turn to vlogging, following Kathryn Bernardo's "Everyday Kath" and Julia Barretto's "Just Julia."
Other notable celebrities with vlogs include pioneer Alex Gonzaga, Vice Ganda, Bea Alonzo, Maja Salvador, and Kim Chiu.
