MANILA – Kim Chiu turned to social media to share the good deeds she has accomplished a month since she launched her own merchandise based on the #BawalLumabas meme.
On Tuesday, Chiu shared through Instagram that she was able to distribute relief kits for 1,500 families and raise P300,000 from all the #BawalLumabas merchandise she sold.
True to her promise, Chiu donated all the proceeds to Shop and Share, which is the project of fellow actresses Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis and Dimples Romana which aims to carry out coronavirus mass testing in the Philippines.
The merchandise marks the latest triumph for Chiu, as she bounced back from what she once described as "one of the lowest points" of her life.
Prior to this, she released #BawalLumabas as an official single, which spawned another wave of viral dance and music covers.
