MANILA -- "Idol Philippines" is now down to 10 contestants after Matty Juniosa and Rachel Libres ended their journey on Sunday.
Juniosa and Libres landed in the bottom three, along with Elle Ocampo.
It was later announced that only Ocampo was safe and can join the rest of the "Idol Philippines" hopefuls.
The judges lauded Libres when she performed "Paano Na Kaya" earlier on Sunday's show.
"Galingan mo pa kasi magaling ka talaga. Pakatatag ka," Moira dela Torre told Libres.
Juniosa, on the other hand, performed "Nais Ko" on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Renwick Benito, Fatima Louise Lagueras, Zephanie Dimaranan and Miguel Odron performed their versions of classic Ryan Cayabyab songs.
Benito performed "Araw Gabi," while Lagueras performed "Limang Dipang Tao."
"Fatima, technically, for me, you are one of the best technical singers here, sa Idol Philippines batch na ito," Vice Ganda told Lagueras.
"Your story is something we all want to hear. Your strength is making us listen. Ang masasabi ko, araw gabi kong iisipin ang performance mo tonight," Dela Torre told Benito.
Dimaranan and Odron were also praised for their cover of "Paraiso" and "Kahit Ika'y Panaginip Lang," respectively.
"You have changed so much. You look like a star... I'm so happy you chose that song, bagay na bagay sa 'yo," Regine Velasquez told Dimaranan.
"Miguel, I love the sound of your voice. Really. You have an amazing voice," James Reid told Odron.
Next week, the remaining 10 contestants will be performing songs of Erik Santos and Yeng Constantino.
