MANILA – “Barcelona: A Love Untold” ranks among the most memorable movies of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
Apart from filming the movie in Spain, the two said they were also able to learn so much from their director Olivia Lamasan while shooting it.
In an interview with Toni Gonzaga for “I Feel U” last Sunday, the two fondly recalled how Lamasan instilled discipline in them, and how that motivated them to do better.
Noong una very cold kami kasi kapag nag-instruct talaga siya, focus kami. Hindi kami pwede magkamali, kasi may kasalanan kami,” Padilla added.
While they did not talk about this further, it was evident that working with Lamasan had a great impact on them as actors.
“Barcelona: A Love Untold” follows a young couple who met in Spain and their journey to find the answers to their lifelong questions. It was one of the country's highest-grossing movies in 2016, earning P321 million.
Meanwhile, Bernardo and Padilla also talked about their other movie “The Hows of Us,” one of their most mature projects.
Kaya hanggang ngayon, sobra ang pasasalamat namin kasi hindi namin magagawa without them,” said Bernardo.
The actress said she would not have been able to do it as well if not for the help of Padilla, who is her real-life boyfriend.
“Si DJ, grabe rin 'yung pag-alalay niya sa akin d'yan kaya rin nag-work si George kasi off cam, 'yung pag-uusap namin ni DJ sa eksena 'yung preparations namin kaya din siya nag-work,” she said.
After the coronavirus pandemic, Bernardo and Padilla are set to do another project with Raymundo and Molina, the upcoming movie “After Forever.”
