MANILA - A 16-year-old from Cebu surprised the judges of "Idol Philippines" with her rapping skills.
Jehramae Trangia performed both the rap and singing parts of the song "Hari ng Tondo," originally recorded by Gloc-9 and Denise Barbacena.
"I enjoyed it very much actually. Na-surprise ako doon sa may pa-rap, hindi ko ine-expect na nagra-rap ka. Ikaw pa lang 'yung nakita ko na hindi mo napabayaan 'yung pagkanta. At the same time, maganda mo na-deliver 'yung rap," Regine Velasquez told Trangia.
"Ang galing kasi sobrang sweet mo tingnan, tapos biglang nag-rap ka, sobrang swag mo," Moira dela Torre added.
Trangia received four yesses from the judges.
Hosted by Billy Crawford, "Idol Philippines" airs Saturdays after "Home Sweetie Home" and Sundays after "Wansapanataym."
