BAGUIO CITY -- Army reservist and actor Matteo Guidicelli participated at the Philippine Military Academy’s capability demonstration at Borromeo Field in Tuba, Benguet on Monday.

The two-day Army roadshow aims to attract new graduates as recruits to its Special Forces Command comprising the Light Reaction Company, Scout Ranger Regiment, Special Forces and Air Borne troops.

Last month, Guidicelli said he decided to join the Philippine Army because he loves his country.

He went on to quote MGen Bernie Langub, commander of the Army Reserve Command, about why explained why the rank is placed near their heart.

“It means only those who have the heart to serve will be fit to wear the uniform. It is beyond the uniform, it is all about willingness to serve the country and being prepared for any eventuality,” Guidicelli wrote.

Prior to his entry as Army reservist, Guidicelli also joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary in March alongside celebrities Erwan Heussaff and Nico Bolzico.
