MANILA – Matteo Guidicelli recently launched an online talent show to discover the next idol in the entertainment industry.
“The Pop Stage” will be streamed both on its official Facebook page and Guidicelli’s. It will be presented by Popeyes in partnership with Viva Artists Agency.
In a virtual press conference, Guidicelli said this competition will highlight not just Filipinos’ talents but also their creativity.
“When we have our normal shows, we have our directors and professional staff. Now, it is you shooting your own material. We want to see your creativity. It’s very real and organic. That’s what’s exciting about this. It’s not professional, it’s just your own creativity,” he said.
All individuals or groups (maximum of 4 members) who are ages 13 to 25 years old who would like to join “The Pop Stage” may visit www.thepopstage.ph and send a video of their audition piece until May 27.
Among the talents that may be showcased on the competition are singing, dancing, playing instruments, doing magic, or performing whatever talent that’s worth showing off.
According to Guidicelli, entries will be deliberated by a panel of judges and those which will be chosen will be featured on a weekly show.
The winner of “The Pop Stage” will receive P1 million in cash and a one-year contract with Viva Artists Agency.
