MANILA -- JC de Vera is grateful that ABS-CBN continues to trust him with projects which challenge his versatility as an actor.
On Thursday, de Vera renewed his deal with the network and signed another two-year contract.
“Maraming marami pa rin akong dapat matutunan. 'Yung learning experience hindi natatapos kasi every project na binibigay ng ABS is always new and always challenging. So up to now, hindi ako nagsasawa talaga na magtrabaho,” he said.
“I’m really happy with ABS-CBN and I am very thankful for all the support and sa lahat ng mga tinutulong nila sa amin,” he added.
Under his new comtract, de Vera said his fans could expect to see a “more diverse and well rounded JC” for his upcoming projects.
Meanwhile, the actor also voiced his support for his mother network, whose franchise is up for renewal.
“ABS-CBN is here for a reason. Hindi naman siya tatagal for how many years kung wala naman talagang natulungan 'yung network. Ako bilang employee nila, we have the same agenda, which is to serve and to entertain,” he said.
The actor said he is praying that ABS-CBN will be able to continue to serve Filipinos worldwide.
“If ipagpapatuloy 'yung franchise, I will be very happy with it kasi maipagpapatuloy namin ang pagbibigay serbisyo namin sa mga Pilipino at 'yung pagbibigay namin ng entertainment sa lahat. We are all hoping for the best,” he said.
Personally, de Vera said he is one of the many people ABS-CBN was able to help.
“Mayroon din akong family na kailangan kong suportahan and siyempre without ABS-CBN, wala akong pang-provide. That’s why I am really loyal and faithful to them kasi siyempre sila ang nagbibigay ng buhay sa akin. Let’s pray and hope for the best,” he said.
