MANILA – Korina Sanchez and former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas marked the first birthday of their twins Pepe and Pilar.
While the kids’ birthday was actually on Wednesday, the couple chose to celebrate it on Saturday with a barnyard-themed party.
Sanchez posted photos from the event on Instagram, showing her two children all dressed up for the occasion.
“Pepe en Pilar had the best time yesterday in their birthday farm with all their new friends surrounded by people who love them...Thank you everyone who came to have fun with them,” she wrote.
Last week, Sanchez looked back on her decision to become a mother in her 50s.
“For a long time, I was thinking it would probably never happen for me. But I could not let my life pass without even trying. And now, every tomorrow is the best day yet to come,” the former “TV Patrol” anchor said.
Sanchez got to have children of her own for the first time in 2019, when she and Roxas had Pepe and Pilar via gestational surrogacy in the United States.
She and Roxas “decided to freeze our embryos before my biological clock stopped ticking,” allowing them to embark on their “best live adventures” before building a family.
