MANILA – Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Karen Reyes revealed why she left the group GirlTrends, which was first introduced as the female counterpart of the Hashtags on "It's Showtime."
In an exclusive interview with entertainment site Push, Reyes admitted that she was having a hard time getting along with the other members of the girl group.
“Parang wala 'yung sisterly love. Uso ang inggitan in a way na gusto nila lahat sila 'yung bida. Gusto nila sila lahat 'yung magaling. Wala 'yung nagtutulungan. So nakita ko na kaagad from that na wala ito, na hindi ako magiging masaya dito,” she said.
Reyes said she decided to leave because she can’t last in an environment where she is not happy.
According to Reyes, there was an instance where she almost got into a fight with her fellow GirlTrends members.
Reyes said she could not feel the camaraderie within the group.
Ganun sila kaya nasaktan talaga ako na bakit may kompetisyon?” she said.
Aside from Reyes, the group is composed of former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemates Miho Nishida, Kamille Filoteo, Dawn Chang, and Barbie Imperial, as well as young actresses Loisa Andalio, Devon Seron, Maris Racal and Erin Ocampo, among others.
