“Totoo na ba?” appeared to be a common question among viewers of “It’s Showtime” on Friday, as mainstay Vice Ganda and newcomer Ion Perez shared a “kilig” moment that left co-host Anne Curtis grinning and speechless.
The latest interaction between the comedian and Perez, who brought a third-party twist to the “ViceJack” love story starting September last year, drew shrieks from the live audience — but interestingly had Curtis tight-lipped.
The “kilig” from the impromptu slow dance between the two seemed to be real, at least going by comments on social media from those who tuned in to the live episode.
Some were even convinced that the romance has spilled over to real life, given what was heard from the other hosts throughout the four-hour telecast on Friday.
Earlier in the program, Vice Ganda said he was “in love,” with co-host Jugs Jugueta teasing he found love just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Then, during the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” segment, Vhong Navarro asked Vice Ganda what his mystery partner’s favorite color is — a question Perez is made to frequently answer, in light of his endearing pronunciation of the word “orange.”
In what appeared to be a more overt hint of his relationship, Vice Ganda candidly said his “jowa” or boyfriend was inside a dressing room, sans access to a TV set, after Navarro and Curtis asked whether the mystery individual was watching the show.
Still, there was no direct mention of Perez, leaving fans to speculate whether “ViceJack’s” latest twist of Vice Ganda instead falling for “Kuya Escort” has indeed reached their personal lives.
