MANILA—Christine Samson already has quite a number of things attached to her name even before she emerged from inside a huge jar on the new "It's Showtime" segment, "Piling Lucky."

A degree in broadcasting, a commercial model, a host, and a video game streamer signed under Tier One, a talent agency co-founded by cosplay star Alodia Gosiengfiao who manages promising esports personalities, Samson is definitely no ordinary girl.

But her sudden move to the center of the next online viral star stage can definitely be attributed to her stint as a mesmerizing "genie" on the noontime show with the nickname, "Genie-nga."

It was host Vice Ganda who coined the name, and you can check out how it all began right here.

"I never thought I'd be a part of the show that I only used to admire and watch for many years," Samson said in one of her Instagram posts this week. "Maraming salamat po sa oportunidad."

Her job on "It's Showtime" is simple: Do her best impression of a magical genie and hold out the "charot cards," which determine who among the the contestants of "Piling Lucky" will be eliminated.

And while her beauty no doubt played a part (there's a running joke that host Jhong Hilario is captivated every time she appears), her quick wit is what definitely endeared her to the audience and Vice Ganda, recently responsible for making popular figures out of Jackie "Ate Girl" Gonzaga, and, of course, boyfriend Ion Perez.

Now there's no real magic lamp to help tell if "Genie-nga" will reach the same heights as someone such as "Ate Girl," but these pictures of her on Instagram will for sure have the "madlang people" spellbound for a long time. Check them out below:
