MANILA – Kakai Bautista, who is no stranger to “bashers” of her physical appearance, is done seeking the validation of other people when it comes to beauty.

The 39-year-old comedienne opened up about self-acceptance in a recent Instagram post, saying, “Alam at tanggap kong hindi ako maganda sa paningin at standards ng iba, ng mundong obsessed sa beauty and being beautiful.”

It can be recalled that Bautista turned emotional in a TV interview in 2013, amid criticisms over her close relationship with Thai superstar Mario Maurer.

She said at the time: “’Yung mga tao…

More recently, she became once again the subject of similar intrigue, when she was romantically linked with actor Ahron Villena, whose close friendship with Bautista was strained over the rumors. Bautista eventually admitted she fell in love with Villena, and that it was not reciprocated.
