When she celebrated her dad's birthday just last week, she threw a party, which gathered all of her dad's children. But for her late mom's birthday this Saturday, Kim Chiu had a more solemn idea.

The actress shared a touching poem to remember her mother, who died of brain aneurysm in 2013.

The poem she shared had a few moving lines for her mom, Louella Chiu-Yap, including one about a "part of me went with you the day God took you home." You can read it in full below:

A million times I’ve needed you, a million time I’ve cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I love you dearly, In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place no else can fill.
It broke my heart to lose you. But you didn’t go alone, part of me went with you, the day God took you home.

"Happy Birthday in heaven mama! I love you," wrote Chiu.
